looking for a good lawyer...

My mom was in a car accident, she got t-boned. Now, my parents are looking to get an attorney to help them out with the case. I want to ask if anyone has or knows a good lawyer who handles car accidents, and since personal referrals usually are the best leads, I figured I'll try to see if anybody can help me out. So if you do, post it here or PM me. Thanks

Try to avoid getting an attorney if at all possible as they will take 1/3 of any settlement.

But if your folks are getting screwed over by the other driver or insurance company, then unfortunately they will have to obtain an attorney.

Just my $.02.

The state bar association should have a website with suggestions, tips, and a searchable database of attorneys in the area, sorted by specialization.
I know there's one like that in TX and VA, so I'm sure it's the same here. Check that out.

good luck

My wife is one of the Director's of the American Bar Association, I would hit that website for info or the Illinois State Bar Association.

I'm not sure if your asking for personal injury or getting the car fixed at the other persons cost?

If your going after the other persons insurance to get the car fixed you can just go thru your insurance company and they will sue the other insurance company for the costs involved. They will also try and get your deductible from the other insurance co.

I had to do this few years back.

If for personal injury sorry can't help ya there.
