My car started, but it made this awefull shrieking noise for about 3 minutes while it warmed up... Yikes. I heard on the radio this morning that it's supposed to be back in the 20's tomorrow.

No, don't think it was the belts... More of a groaning than a shrieking I guess...

Yep, same here. The big block just barely turned over and started. Then there was the groaning sound - power steering pump uttering it's disgust with the -5 temperature. At least it's sunny!

Life has no instruction manual. Parts and labor can be impossible to find. Many go down the road with parts that are in need of service. A breakdown is eventual.

From memory, it was pretty hot most of the time

Since we are on this line and I was dumb enough to leave my jacket in the car last night, does anyone remember the Seinfeld episode when they were talking about shrinkage? How did that line go? Something about a turtle in danger?

My car made some weird noise itself this morning. At least it started though. I nearly froze to death waiting for it to thaw out.

It's -1 here in Oak Park and windchill is what -100? Sometimes I really hate this city.

Its going to be in the 20's the rest of the week and may get up to 30 on Saturday.

Thursday its supposed to snow again. I haven't seen cold like this since Korea.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

Colder than a witch's tit in a brass bra. Its about 8 degrees here in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Saturday was great, though. I took the bike east of Tulsa along Scenic 412 highway, through the twisties. The cold front was moving in just as I got back near Tulsa.
But Friday and Saturday were great! Every bike in town must have been out then. Hooked up with and old buddy who has a Katana. We went bar hopping, and met a cute blonde who was eyeing me as soon as we walked in and set out helmets down. What a weekend.

My F-250 made some noises this morning for a bit and stalled the first time I started it. The V-10's just dont seem to like cold weather.
