this is not the best deal i've seen though, the GP1 is far from the top of their line. Retail they are little over $100. Not a bad deal if you need a lid and like AGV though.

Well .... we cannot all afford KBC's like you

I thought that all AGV's went for more than that, hell, at that price I could have one for every day of the week!

Have an AGV Xvent for racing. Going to replace it after this season with a Soumy Spec1R.

I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.

The X Vent was their top of the line helmet, but it is now discontinued. There are a couple on ebay for under $200.00. Helmet Harbor is selling them for $350.00.

Rob, in the search box to the left, type in Suomy and you'll see some good deals on some Gunwinds and Spec 1R's

Their new top of the line is called the XR2. The are listing at $400.00. It's the one Rossi wears. It's got the weird shape in back and has the shield designed for tear offs. I'm not crazy about the looks of it.

The also have a new model that has the same shell design but has the conventional round back. It's called the V Flyer (not just Flyer, that's a lesser model) and lists for $350. I got the Comp one for $280 shipped to my door. Helmet Harbor has some good pictures of them and sell them for $300 w/ free shipping.

These 2 new models have an "improved", inside shape different than the X Vent. The are listed as their Racing helmets.

Check it out.

First thing, I wouldnt buy a helmet off ebay even if they said it was 'new and never worn'.

Second, my sponsor sell Soumy and I get them at very good prices.D

Rob,

My friends and I have bought new, in the box only, helmets off ebay before and they were brand new. We have no complaints. I only buy from the people who have alot of positive feedback and a history of selling them. I wouldn't buy a display model, or from a guy who has little or no feedback. Even if it was said to be new.

You just need to watch, and do business with the legit sellers. There are alot of great deals on ebay. Those Suomy Spec 1R helmets retail for $500.00, and there are some going for around $350.00. If you can get them that cheap from your sponsor that's great, but for those of us without sponsors, ebay is the best way to go.
