Back in TX, and it's 66 degrees.

And let's all guess what I am doing with the bike...
Is it:

1. Driving around town with it still in my truck because I can't find anyone to help me unload

2. Driving around town with it still in my truck because I can't find anyone to help me unload, and not asking the local shop for help because I don't have a key to ride it home since I left it in my mom's washing machine in Chicago

or

3. Driving around town with it still in my truck because I can't find anyone to help me unload, and not asking the local shop for help because I don't have a key to ride it home since I left it in my mom's washing machine in Chicago, but also not worrying because the tax office said I have to wait 4 weeks to register the bike anyway. Instead, I am thinking, "it's just as well anyway. I guess I'll go sit in the sun and have a beer or 10."

IF YOU GUESSED #3, YOU ARE CORRECT!!!! Pat yourself on the back, and laugh heartily at me, and you can even say "she deserves it, for all that showing off about the nice weather."

wow, that totally sucks. especially since chicago set a new record today with temps in the high 70s. I've been riding all day, my tires are scrubbed edge to edge and gooey hot. Ahhhhh, good times.

Sorry to hear that lil'ag. If you drove all the way to TX you deserve to enjoy that nice weather.

My forecast for tomorrow: Texas will get a blizzard from El Paso to Beaumont and from Brownsville to Amarillo. I hope it misses you.

hahahahahaahaah

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

Long story, but I bought the bike in WI (in November). If I would have tried to title AND register it, I would have been fined $40 because of the time elapsed between when I applied for title/reg (november) and when I actually brought it in with a valid inspection done in the state of tx (Jan) to complete the reg. So to avoid that fine, I applied for title only. I guess if you are going to do title only and avoid that fine, they figure you have time to wait. It's 6 weeks from the filing of the papers, and that was Dec. 30 (took longer since original sigs were needed from bank in tx, me in IL, and dealer in WI).

The tax office was actually nice about it. She apologized and said she would do all the work now and call me the day I was able to come in and she would have everything ready for me. Oh well.

At least it's finally off the truck now.

So far, I have only seen pictures of the bike, on the back of a truck Does it actually run Or do you just keep it in the back of the truck for traction What is you gas mileage, on the truck I mean, we know the bike should get about a zillion miles a gallon in the back Now young lady.....post a picture with you ACTUALLY riding this thing

I would refer you to the first post, where I explained that I left my key in Barrington and am awaiting its arrival. However, my other reason for not posting myself is I am trying to avoid the whole trashy "look at me I'm a girl with a sportbike" thing. Ick. How about a picture of me cooking spaghetti or something?
