Digi Cams

My last digital camara got tossed in a punch bowl at a going away party So now its so sticky i can't even turn it on

does anyone have any recommendations for a new one? I take a lot of pics at car shows/partys, so it doesn't need to be 5.0+ mega pixels. In fact my old camara was 1.3 Fuji that i bought for 50 bux (brand new) And i was pretty happy w/that.

I was looking at a cannon that was under 200 bux, and somewhere around 4 megapixels.

a wide screen option would be nice, a good zoom would be cool to.

thanx

Fuji is great and Pentex makes a great digital camera too. I personally don't like Canon cameras. Fuji also makes a camera that Nikon lenses will fit on it, can't think of the name of it, but i think it's cool.

I have a Sony Mavica, it's a brick, I'm pretty happy with it But then again, I know squat about the stuff, ask BusaDave, he's seems to have a good grasp on stuff like that.

Kodak have some good, inexpensive cameras. I got 5 megapixels for under $300. I also added a 256 MB memory card and took over 150 "best quality" pictures on vacation and it still had room for another 50 or so.

Mrs.Jimbo (my fiance) works at a camera store, she might be able to help. She's going to kill me for this too

Just picked up the Kodak 6440 Easy share. It rocks.

Kodak is good, but I think they are over-rated. You get the same, if not better quality with Fuji and a better price. If you notice, most professionals don’t use Kodak at all, They use Nikon or Fuji. Go figure I have heard Nikons Digital aren't all that great, their 35mm is the best out there. Minolta is going bankrupt so I wouldn’t buy one of those.

I bought the Sony DSC P10 awhile back. it's a 5 mega pixel and I can print out an 8 X 10 that is clearer than if i took the picture with film. it's a little more than you are willing to spend, but it is def. worth it...and it fits in your pocket!

I've got an Olympus and the pics turn out great. Mine is about a year maybe 2 old. It's also got the movie recording feature. I'm not a technical geek though when it comes to cameras but at the time for the price and features it beat out others.

Try looking up reviews online for Dig Cams and see what they say??
