Bummer! They played some good tunes. Time to change the presets. Hopefully it wont be long before another picks up their old format.

I've been going through withdrawls all week, it's been off the air since the 2nd. The Explorer only has a radio in it, so that's all I listen to. I don't know any other station that can fill the gap besides 94.7 but it's not the same. Like we needed another easy listening station

WIIL (WIL Rock) 95.1 is located in Pleasant Prairie, WI and broadcasts hard rock in the north burb area. They're still on and with the same format.

I get both 95.1 and 96.7 in my car even in Chicago. I didn't hear about the 96.7 format change, I'll have to check it out, I'm a child of the 80's.

I keep saying I'm getting a Mini Ipod and then I'll just get an fm transmitter and play any of my cd's I've catalogued on the ipod in my car.

but I'm still waiting for Logtar to come back to town and do a little upgrading to my dinosaur....eh...I mean PC so I can acutually use one.

Me too. I like the idea you can take the unit from your car and listen to it in your house as well. Might as well get your money's worth.

Isn't it like $10/month?

Yeah, at least for the Delphi one, it's about $100 for the unit, then another $60 car converter (antanea and cradle), then another $60 if you have a CD player in the vehicle since the car converter uses a tape deck. It doesn't look complex to hook up, but the price is a bit deceiving. I'd check the other XM radio thread for details. I am still thinking about this, I've got an hour drive to work and listen to so many different things that I have to carry a dozen CD's in the car.

Here is the first website Yahoo found on it.

Try 100.7. It's a new southside station that plays some pretty good tunes. I've only listened a few times because I can't get it to or from work cause I work on the north side.

They are not bad, I think they are out of Morris. Nothing like some good ole Rock n Roll classics!!
