Davis Monthan Air Force Base

This place looks awesome. Anyone ever been out there? I might get the opportunity to check it out coming up. Pretty sweet how all the abandoned air craft are out there. Do a google earth or google maps on Davis Monthan Air Force Base to zoom in better.

I've been by the perimeter. It's impressive to see all those old planes.

I was there years ago as a kid. Born and raised in Tucson. Pretty cool driving by it all the time.

They have/had tours through the boneyard. Cant walk around it though. Not all the planes there are to be scrapped. Many are there just for rotation to keep airframe hours low.

I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.

Davis Monthan

My grandma used to live off Benson Hwy. south of the airstrip. They used to train A-10 Warthogs at the base. It was cool watching them take off 2 atta time. Don't know if they're still doing that.
