hey comcast people..hook me up

well my wife did this for me...to save me money as she put it so she can spend it somewhere else..which sounds good so far

she got them to hook up 4 rooms for free.
got 1 H.D. box for down stairs
and all the promo chanels and h.d. channels
and 1 regular box for the upstairs t.v.

something like for 16 months 20 bucks or some crap, and after 16 months normal price of 65-75 bucks a month.

so i was like cool ok, not as good as satellite H.D. but its better then nothing right now plus they got more hbo channels and so forth...so i was like well did ya ask them able cable for internet?
she called back and said something like 45 bucks WITH our service.

is that right?

i know a ton of people said they were saving money doing it this way..but at that point..i am already paying 65 for direcTV with same stuff except h.d. and 24 a month for AOL dial crap.

anyone work at comcast that can explain some more or maybe hook me up with a better deal?

I'll look into deals going on. I think the 1 deal everyone talks about is I think you get basic w/ HSD (High Speed Internet) I'll ask the sales guys when I see them next time. I'll be in the office tomorrow where they are out of. And 24.99 for dial up???? I think that's to much, for about 20.00 more you get a hell of a lot faster connection. I'll try to get back to you tomorrow, PM me if you don't here from me. But also just wait for Vidio on Demand, something the dish doesn't have

If you're like me, and you work for a CLEC/cable company, you can have an employee discount. Then cable modem service is fairly inexpensive. But, I don't use the net enough anyway, and my wife gets internet service through the university free, so I don't have cable modem service.

Sorry, Ody.

I was laid off from Comcast for a month. I went to dial up and it lasted 1 day, I went back to cable internet and paid full price for it, it was worth it.

I'm a DSL girl myself!

I dropped comcast like a bad habit before thanksgiving. Cable kept going out.

Now I can understand satellite [email protected]#k'n up but cable...what's the deal .

I summarily told them to go themselves a new one and getting satellite at new house.

In the mean time I'm stuck with broadcast channels and no speedvision... .
