Western Union Auction Payments HELP!

I want to get something off of Ebay but the person only accepts this form of payment and not Paypal and I'm just wondering if anyone has used this type of payment before and if it's easy and if there are any other charges for using it. Thanks!

I say Western Union wire transfer only is shady.
Don't do it if its over $20 or whetever you'd feel comfortable losing.

Western Union is easy to use - there is nothing (inherently) wrong with using it, but:

- seller is guaranteed their cash in hand
- you have no proof who actually received the money (no way to trace it).
- if there is a problem, you do not have any chance of getting the money back they way you could if your disputed a credit card charge.
