Want to share the good news.

I got off active duty from the army last March and was hired at Orbitz.com as a private contractor. Today I start as a full time salaried employee. I get benefits galore. Stock options, a 401k, full medical/dental, gym membership, Metra savings, bonuses, 3 weeks vacation two floating holidays and my birthday all during the first year, plus I get double time when I work holidays and Orbitz holidays.

Life is grand.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

Thanks everyone. In six months I get my Travel Agent discount card.

Maybe we should all fly to Florence, Italy and watch the MotoGP race in Mugello. How cool would that be?

What positions did you and your friend apply for? I can guarentee it wasn't what I do. Like my avatar says I'm a wannabe weatherman. My official title is Air Traffic Analyst.

Just to let you know, orbitz is now hiring a bunch of people again. Our CEO had a corporate meeting yesterday and said he's bringing on 60-100 more people. What positions I don't know... but you didn't hear this from me.

Thanks, Ken.

Ladydemona, that's not a bad idea. Get a whole crapload of CLSB members and we'll all head to Mugello. I was actually considering going this year with a group called GPtours. But its like $1200 for a 4 night hotel package which doesn't include MotoGP tickets OR airfare. I'll ask around work to see if there are tours to the area. I'm sure the bigger the group the cheaper per person it would be.
