just fell

its freezing out, but i decided to warm the bike up and ride around the block once. well, i was going arround, coming back down my street and i see my neighbor backing down the drive so i hit the front brakes a little too hard. well, next thing i know im losing it and im on the ground.

neighbor was clueless.

well, im a little bruised up and sore as shit (happened 10 mins ago). of course i wasnt wearing gear cause i was just going around the block, but im not bloody, just kinda road rash and its red and hurts.

i can move all my joints but im just sore as shit. i should be ok, right? if something was broke i would be in extreme pain, right.

fell on the right side so its my right hip, arm and leg.

sucks - sorry to hear! You might wanna clean out the roadrash while you're still in shock and it doesn't hurt so much... as for needing a doc - I don't think over the internet is the best place for advice on that. Hope you're OK and heal up soon!

Yep, cold tires and cold street coated with salt and sand, very hazardous!

Hope you're not hurt too bad! The road rash is gonna hurt! The advice to clean it up right away is a very good suggestion.

Careful out there guys!

well my sister said shed be home in an hour or so. i think i can wait till then.

wierd thing is that i was wearing a fleece and wife beater- the fleece has no holes in it but my shoulder is oozing and rashed.

ripped my freakin good pair of jeans too :

i didnt really look at the bike too good since i was a little preoccupied with other things it ended up in a snow bank lol. man, trying to pull that sucker out of the snow sucked.

Funny how some things don't hurt til later. I went down 2 years ago, pushed my bike home, went to work, and after a 12 hour shift (I needed help getting out of a chair by that point), I went to the hospital with 2 broken ribs.

My wife thinks we're a bunch of Top Gun wannabes with our call signs, so for future reference, I'm Roger

yea, usually im a spokesperson for gear. however, i dont think gear woulda helped this any. i didnt hit my head (dont know how the hell that happened) and my shirt doesnt even have a hole and my shoulder still got rash. more banged up than anything. ive cut myself plenty before

moral of the story-dont go riding if its below freezing out

i inpsected the bike- little piece of the upper is cracked and middle fairing needs to be sanded down and painted. little cover on the engine is a little scraped up and the clutch bar that goes into the engine looks a little oily. i dont know if the steering if off. oh well, shit happens.

ive been thinking of selling the bike off to pay some of the ta off early, i hope this isnt a sign

thanks for the replies, its kept my spirit up.

the scrape marks on the street were about 20+ feet from where the bike was. i woulda like to seen what the heck happened.
