Digital Cameras Media Cards???

How many with digital cameras just use the cable to d/l the pics?

I have an Olympus Camera and the damn software needs updating and cheapest I found it was $20, but was thinking about getting a media card reader instead.

Anyone have them and what are your thoughts and what brand price?

Thanks

I'm sick of following my dreams. I'm just going to ask them where they're goin', and hook up with them later!!

I just bought a PNY smartcard reader from BestBuy for $10. Works great. I had to buy it because I had so much trouble trying to DL the pics to my 'puter. Its just easier with a reader.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

I got a reader that supports all the major formats even though I use CF. The price wasn't that much more and it's great knowing I can read any format.

Yeah, get a reader...picked mine up at Best Buy for like $20, for my Sony (uses memory stick, instead of cards). Saves on batteries for the digital camera, and with USB 2.0 it can transfer 128 megs of pix in less than a minute on mine
