Cool first dirt ride of the year

In two weeks, the wife is out of town.

Let's start the year with some offroad riding,
right it's snowing now but in two weeks 50 degrees (maybe)

Some one wants to join me?

Theres an old horse track by my house, I flat trac it there all the time. It's an old farm and a chuch bought the land. They said its OK to ride on it. Nothing like flat tracking man, I love it.

Cool, lets go!

We can just ride out there huh?

I don't like getting on 80 on the XR though, we should take back roads.

With a full tuck at full throttle going with the wind, I can achieve 86.2345 mph

I had no idea you could ride there... any restrictions on exhaust or dB levels? I got a White Bros E-series on my 400ex with no spark arrestor and its loud as hell, blows fire out the pipe right now since i dont have it jetted quite right

Make sure you post up when you are planning to go, I got a few buddies that will wanna check it out as well.

How does this place compare to the Badlands?

Dude, I'll tell you rite now nowhere compares to the badlands around here that I've seen yet. I've been down to badlands about 50 times and that place is just sick. Everytime I go I find somewhere that I haven't seen yet.

I've seen some fucked up shit down there to. People get hurt bad!

I think they don't allow quads at Starved Rock though. I mite be wrong but I'd call and check first.

If you want to ride your quad at a cool place through me a PM. I'll take you to some good trails. I just dont want to post on the board because its Private Property.

Watch out for big trucks and jeeps when you're blasting over a dune or blind hill.

Some of the trails and hills out there are nuts bro. You're in third gear going up a hill full throttle to make it the top.

One word of advice for you. If you scope a hill and have any doubt in your mind that you can't make it, DON'T TRY IT.

I've seen guys get half way up a 150 foot crest and not have enough power or start spinning the tire and they have to bail.

It's not pretty seeing a bike or a quad come tumbling down 150 feet.

Have fun and don't get run over by any big trucks!

I'd join you but I'm leaving for Daytona next week.

No quads allowed at Starved Rock (Buffalo Rock Riding Range). I used to volunteer there as I grew up a couple miles from the place.

You may want to call. I dont think they usually open until April or so.

Of course, if someone wanted to lend me a bike to ride with. i could certainly get us in the back way (for free of course). The Buffalo Pit is only about 20% of the trails back there. Theres some badass stuff out there that most people have no idea about.

If they allow quads I could let you ride the XR, but if not I don't have anything else but the 50.

I'm for sure going to check this place out this year. Any good jumps, places to ride wheelies or open areas to flat track out there?

It's look like its close until April.

I want to go riding this Friday, suppose to be a great weather.
Anyone knows about a different place or if I can ride there anyway?

Grasshopper is leaving to Daytona so I'm still looking for partners
