Need some Paypal advice

Anyone use Paypal? I upgraded to the premier account to accept credit cards and debit cards... I agreed to the fee of 2.9%. I thought this was ONLY for the credit and debit card transactions. However, I received a payment from a a bank account, and I was charged the 2.9% on that as well! Does this mean that I will be charged 2.9% on ALL transactions from now on?? WTF! Can I reverse this upgrade?? Any advice?

Damn Jeff sounds like you got Corn Holed!

Yes that is a fee imposed when you you credit and debit cards. Actually that is relatively cheap compared to a store using CC's.

I don't believe you taker a hit on transfers and stuff. If you know a CC will be 2.9% you tack that onto the payer for a convienence fee.

realistically I don't see anything on their web pages for reverting an account from premium back to standard.

I suppose you could always just use some other email address and link that to a new paypal STANDARD account.

Their fee statement page:

PayPal charges Premier and Business accounts to receive payments. Personal accounts are free, but may not receive credit card payments.

Personal Account: Receive funds free

Premier/Business Account: 2.2% + $0.30 USD to 2.9% + $0.30 USD

time to create another hotmail account or another email account with your ISP and create a new paypal account...

Welcome to my world. I apyed that fee on everyones t-shirt orders. It sucks, but that the hoy of the system. Best bet is to open up a new account with a different email address. and dont upgrade it.

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!
