I hate bike week with a passion and I couldn't be happier when it ends.

I can relate with you on this. I hated the madness around Milwaukee during the HD 100th.

My parents got out of town for a couple of days. A woman rode into the side of my brother's Neon...t-boned him.

However, I still hope to get down to Daytona for Bike Week...sorry

Someday I've gotta do Daytona. It's hard to get away when the kids are still in school. BTW, I always have fun wherever I go. Sportbike, cruiser, who cares. I'd like to bring both. Sportbike for goin' to the races, cruiser for the "Iron Horse Saloon".

Don't they have a burn out booth in the Iron Horse?

If I go in there on the Jap bike will they drag me in back and beet me to a pulp and steel my bike?

I doubt it. Not when they see how much smoke and noise you can make. It'll be like in Pee Wee's Big Adventure when he started bustin' things up. They'll take you in as one of their own.

DanO and I will be down there 2/25-3/1. Probably won't be doing a whole lot of sight-seeing and bar-hopping, since we'll be at the speedway most of the time. We will be cruising the strip on scooters though

I'll be there from the 3rd through the 8th. It will be my first time there for the 200, so I am excited, not only for that, but also to get away from work and this weather for awhile.

Not going to bike week, though I'm planning on making it to Biketoberfest.

Jim, nice avatar. Maybe there is a t-shirt with it on the back.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

Typical local. My brother lives in Daytona. They complain too...but they don't mind the millions of dollars these events pour into the community.
