I Have Seen THE KING !!

King Jerry Fokas that is - Alive and kicking in Glenview at Chicago Harley - Just did about 15 mins with him of the old stories about playing Hee Haw with the fuck around gang - He was a tad shocked when I named dropped a few and then he cooled out

Have not seen that Fuck since he threw us out of the Western Ave Store when my boy blew up his 998r and jerry refused to service it

LONG LIVE THE KING

I learned a LOT about sales from that man. I often think about how wildly successful he might have been in a different industry (penny stocks, junk bonds, life insurance etc. etc.)

For all his flaws, I'll say that man was fearless (or at least appeared fearless) when confronted with some SERIOUSLY pissed off people.

I ran into him there back in February. He was telling me that if Harley did not have their own financing, there would be zero biz.

I did however find one of the 48s up there that I like - it is a Blank Canvas at this point and I am not sure how much I want to begin modding another bike right now

I worked with him at Banzai back in 92-94 and he could sell ice to eskimos, no doubt.

Why am I not surprised that he's still selling bikes? Now I know to avoid Glenview... thanks for the heads up.

Told me he has been there for 6 years, well, with Chicago Harley - I also heard that they are under new ownership? - Bike Sales guys are just inbetweeners to the Sales Mgr and Finance when it comes to working deals and crunching numbers - If you do the pre-work and know what the bike is worth while understanding that they have to make a little change too, it is pretty easy to know a good deal or a dry rub ass fuck (easy Tnat, not talking about our camping trips)

They are under new ownership. I am not sure how long ago it was bought. The new owners also bought the Harley dealership in Lake Bluff.
