Silver Honda 919 on Franklin St. (Loop) in Chicago

If you're on here... spotted your bike parked on the street down here in the Loop, on Franklin between Randolph and Washington, as I was walking to get a coffee this morning. You left your keys in the bike, switched to "ON" with your headlight on and turn signal blinking.

I left my biz card on the bike and a post-it (in case the card disappears)... I have your keys. Didn't want to see you left with a dead battery (or worse, a stolen bike).

I'm right around the corner at 101 N. Wacker. You can call my cell at 245-oh-seven-niner-7, area code 224.

I'll expect you to describe the keys before I hand them over.

So if the bike is still there you going to take it?

it's not the fall that kills you, it's that sudden stop

Good on ya Jim!

Hope the rider appreciates the gesture, and isn't one of those stroller pushing insensitive a-hole type people!

I do miss Lincoln Park Street Fairs.......

this is a compelling tale

"Why are all these people here? There are too many people on this earth. We need a new plague…"

"Thats it, nobody gets out of here alive."

Ha ha ha

I really like the 919, actually.... but no time to ride (or place to store it!) My dad has a couple bikes I can borrow when I get the urge - but so far, the urge hasn't hit me in 2 years (and only once in 2011...) *shrug*

i can't tell you how many times I've left my key in the side panel when popping the passenger seat to lock the helmet.... I lock the seat down and walk away... then when I get back I frantically check all my pockets for the key, only to find it sitting there in the side panel, hidden by my fat helmet.

Good Job!
