Talking Where to buy gear in Chicagoland?

Hi guys!

I'm back on two wheels after picking up a new (to me) bike this weekend. I need to replace my garbage gloves that I've been riding with for too long. I know I can order them online but would rather go somewhere and decide first hand which pair I like (something in the A* GP Pro / SP-1 type arena).

That place was Chicago Cycle but we all know what happened there. Any recommendations? I tried Cycle Gear but they just had their own house brand BS, tried a random Honda dealer on my way home, no luck there either.

Any suggestions or just order on Amazon and return if needed?

Thanks,
DTM

I do now

I was thinking Alpinestars gloves but maybe I should give the d store a look given the clearance pricing. I was a few miles from there yesterday, wish I had known to stop...oh well

Yea I tried them, they had very few pairs of non house brand gloves, pretty disappointing. I'm going to try to stop by the D Store to look at the full metals tomorrow, and maybe Riders Needs on Montrose (recomended by a friend). Otherwise I'll probably just order a couple pairs online and return what doesn't fit.

I try to support local business whenever possible, but sometimes it's a bit of a hassle.
