Supercross Supercross SUPERCROSS

SX is back bitches - Sat 1/3 on Fox Sports, 9p our time.

I am liking TC41 this year and Tomac will be up there too - Kroc is always fun in SX and I think he will drop in on the yellow bike just fine

Would LOOOOOOOVE to see Jason Anderson do something on the Husky cuz I loves me some husky

I think Canard, Tomac and Roczen will be tough. Dungey will be there at the end. Milsaps might surprise with Reed sprinkled in.

Actually...I think the backstories of SX are going to make this one of the most interesting seasons in a while. How certain things off the track go could affect the conduct of at least one other dicipline of racing.
The upside is with RV and JS out of the picture we are going to see some talent emerge to assert themselves in ways that didn't seem likely before OR...we could end up having the most diversely competitive SX season ever. Looking forward to it!

"Dirt is for racing on...Asphalt is for getting there" OR "Flat trackers go in deeper and come out harder... OR (With apologies to General MaCarthur) "Old motorcycle racers never die, they just slip off the groove and fade into the dust!

If you want to anger a conservative, tell him a lie. To anger a liberal all one must do is tell the truth!

Good call Eddie!

SX is pretty much the only racing I can watch on TV from start to finish and not get bored. Not the most exciting main last night but still great. Going to be interesting season for sure!

RD5 is still RD5...........too many laps to get around Davi - Liked seeing Canard rally back up after a bad start - The 250s had the best racing and love seeing Bowers do his thing

I am not a fan of Roczen no matter who he is riding for. I am glad Anderson finished on the podium. I think/hoping he does well. I will be rooting for him now that Bubba is out for the season.

It was weird for me to see a Yellow #4 and not have it be Ricky and a red #14 and not have it be K-Dub

I like Roczen - Kid has balls, strong work ethic and talent - He could have stayed in GPs and dominated like Jeffrey Herlings but knew the talent to be the best was over here so he made a big leap at 17 years old - He also could have stayed with KTM for more $ but wanted to be with his boy hood idol and ride the Zuk like he won on in GP - I admire that

good to see some racing again, also good to see Jenny Taft back. What's up with the mullet woman though? is it just me or does Dianna Dahlgren look better this year?

She looks better because she has clothes on. I don't know if she has a weird looking body or the monster energy outfits look like crap on her but she was pretty fugly looking when she was in them.

HA! DD is just weird, I think she may have had something fixed in the off season for pit tootsies , MXA says it best

(5) TWIT-HER: Why would a race organization or a TV network encourage its viewers to stop watching TV so they can go to Twitter and hashtag their dexterous little fingers off? The Dianna Dahlgren Twitter segments are a complete waste of air time — plus the programmers actually run tweets and photos that weren’t generated from that night’s show, but are a couple days or weeks old. That takes the immediacy of Twitter right out of the equation. If they need something for Miss Dahlgren to do, perhaps she could have gone into the pits and talked to Josh Hill about the 12th hour Yamaha deal that got him on the track, or found James Stewart and ask him what his favorite “House Hunters” episode is, or interviewed the three Swedes (Noren, Lind and Thuresson) about their decision to race in the USA, or given a minute of time to Australian Supercross Champion Matt Moss, or showed a little love to ancient mariner Nick Wey in the twilight of his career. Nope, instead we get the same fuzzy photos of little kids in helmets watching TV or big kids dragging their bikes into the living room to the dismay of Mrs. Big Kid. Television time is valuable. Our sport waited decades to get the kind of TV coverage we now have — let’s not waste it on meaningless drivel.

and dungey cant even get around alessi, again I defer to the gurus at MXA

(9) THE OLD RYAN DUNGEY: Last year at Anaheim II, the old gun shy Ryan Dungey suddenly became trigger-happy and started to show some aggression. This year the old milque-toast Dungey is back. He followed Mike Alessi in the 450 main event as though he was worried that passing him would hurt Mike’s feelings. Don’t worry Ryan, Mike is used to being passed in Supercross — it comes with getting the holeshot in every moto, but not having the speed to back it up. Dungey’s timidity with Alessi allowed Trey Canard to get the last step on the podium. Dungey doesn’t have to take people out to be more aggressive, but he has to be more aggressive to be be more aggressive. By the time Dungey did make a solid move on Alessi — it was too late for Ryan to catch Trey Canard, but not too late for Alessi to go back to 9th.
