I moved from the city (university village/taylor street/Ukrainian village/bridgeport) to Oak Lawn. I have to much stuff to live in the city and I was tired of having crap in multiple places so I bought a house with a 4 car garage.

Old Town --> Lincoln Park --> River North --> West Dundee

Go figure.

Faced with the choice of moving to a location I could afford (read: pre-gentrification) that had the space I wanted or moving to the outskirts of civilization...well at least there are some nice roads up here?

Thankfully work has me downtown a few times a month so at least I get my fix in.

Yeah I work downtown and have for pretty much the last 20 years so I get my fix also. Plus my brother lives and the city so I am down here alot. I only live a mile from the city limits so its not bad and DT is only about 12 miles.

Beer is always in the fridge (just bought 2 sixers of Guinness Blonde last night) and Pool Table has been untouched for months - You always have some bike run or shop thing with a guy whop barley speaks English, to tend to

You know where I live Huckleberry

Moved out of shittinois 2006 due do enlisting (Delaware, Kansas, with few years of middle east sprinkled in-between). Went back to civilian life last June, but there's no money in the world you could pay me to move back to that shitty state.

Moved to Los Angeles in early 2013 for work, both my wife's job and mine. Hate it here, great weather, great roads once you get out of the city, but there is so much about L.A. that I despise.

Can't wait to move back home in April! T-minus 7 weeks.

I honestly don't know. What kind of bike?

I'm renting a Penske and have my Road King coming back, so it's possible, I'm just not sure how much room I'll have and I won't be back for 7 weeks now.

Hit me up with the details and I'll see what I can do.

Ive spent years working in LA & New York City, and have spent weeks in many cities in the US for work.

Of the cities with metro area populations 2Million+, I'll take Chicago over any of the others.

Rock and roll, how'd you set the deal up? I take it that this wasn't a craigslist deal. Also, what kind of bike?

went to there website and asked what the price would be and they are running a special so I got it for $498 from LA to my house. Enclosed semi truck set up for 2 story bikes storage and strapped down insured and delivered in a couple of weeks. Can't ask for much more. I will post pics of the bike once I get it in my hands.
