Laptop Help

I just put a wntd thread up for a laptop and my bosses brother tell's me he's got one for $300

What do you think about that? It's a Dell Lattitude C600, 850 mhz, 20 gig hd, 256mb ram. No O/S or wireless card.

Also what would it cost me to get it wirless ready?

wow, thats not a bad deal actually! I'm almost interested! To make it wireless you simply need to stick a WiFi card in it. and loading an OS is simple.

About 100 bucks will get your wireless, even less, there is a card/router combo for sale at Best Buy.

Can I get one too

I think that's a good deal for the laptop.

It would cost you about $50 to get the wireless PC card for the laptop and another $50 - $70 for the wireless network hub.

Easy bro he had 1500 come off lease but I'm not sure how that works cause he can't sell all of them to the public He sets a side a few here in there for his family. His brother was nice enough to call for me.

That's a good price and about what I got off of dellauctions last summer.

Let us know if you can get more then one

Check the battery status. In your case they might still be good, but in most used laptops I'd assume they are dead.

One nice thing about the Dell is that you can run two batteries. That typically can last us here at work doing CAD work all day without having to recharge.

OMG, if you're not going to buy it, I'll take it.

Each one of my salespeople has a C610 (9 to be exact). I support all of them and I haven't had too many problems with them.

The OS is no problem...

A wireless PC Card is easily under $100. I have a Linksys G for my C800 and it ran me about $70
