As far as I know (which is only what I hear on his show). Clear Channel just officially dropped him from the markets (6 I think?) that they "suspended" him in earlier. The $495K fine they swallowed on his behalf last week was the nail in the coffin.

Viacom/Infinity is still running his show - which means those of us in Chicago won't be affected. Anyone know why Viacom wasn't fined?? That's a mystery to me.

I used to listen to Rush all teh time. Got repetative fast.

I agree Mancow is pathetic. I was forced to listen to his crap at Geneva Vans for a bit. Rather listen to the spanish talk radio that the guys from Mexico always turned on than liten to mancow again.

I don't care for Stern too much either, but I can easily switch radio stations. I don't need the FCC to be leading an inquisition to rid the radio of my choices. If this shiat keeps up, it will be rockin' to the oldes for everybody!

notice that I censored my curse above, from shit, to shiat. No need to go tell the FCC boys about this one now...

Stern & Mancow both suck ass. I don't listen to the radio all that much anymore, basically I am tired of hearing the same song 20 times a day. So the only thing I listen to usually is Sports Radio 670 am. Even as a die hard sports fan, I get tired of that too.

Come on! ! Stern and Mancow are idiots. Mancow especielly! They talk as if their talking to 2 year old kids. You have to be completely stupid to believe the stuff that mancow pulls on his show. Whats worse is a lot of people do. Its all an act and fake thats what annoys me. I listen everyonce and a while cus its like that drunk puking on the sidewalk, its ugly and smelly but you just wanna look and laugh at how stupid he looks. (or in mancows case "sound")

Dr. D - Stern was fined for a show they did back in 2001 when they described in "some" detail what a Blumpkin is. I personally found it rather entertaining.

You can read the transcripts etc. on The Smoking Gun. I don't have the link handy at the moment. I won't debate the validity of the show (though I will say that Artie Lang is one of the funnier guys out there).

Just an FYI. I don't know about Stern, I don't listen to him. But I will tell you that Mancow is a hater of motorcycle riders. I've heard him on one of his rants against bikers. Also, he frequents places that have strict "NO BIKERS", policies. For instance, "Fat Sams", in Orland Park. They have "NO BIKERS" signs all over their parking lot and will ask you to leave if you arrive on a bike. Talk about BULLSH!T.

I bellieve that's the idea. Shock radio is just that. It's supposed to piss you off and get you huffing! He would get on the air and say that anyone pushing a stroller on the sidewalk should be kicked in the shin, but that's a little rediculous. I doubt that he really has an opinion on bikes. Just what writers and producers tell him to say.

What the heck is a "Blumpkin"?
