Surgery

I had surgery yesterday. Now I am home bored and sore. Anyone have any ideas on how I can pass the time?

I go to MSN and play the free games when I'm bored in the office.

I hope you recover quickly.

Start a thread asking how to pass some time...

Grab a book, go outside and soak up some rays!

www.pokerroom.com
www.freearcade.com (cheezy games)
educate yourself on policital issues

books -
- The DaVinci Code (recommended to me by at least 8 people so far)
- A Game of Thrones - George R.R. Martin (fiction/dragons etc)
- The Wheel of Time series by Robert Jordan (11 books so far, each one is like 800-1000 pages... should keep you busy for a long time)
- Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance

Movies - buy the $24 a month, all you can rent (2 at a time) deal from Blockbuster... you'll be set. Cancel any time, no late fees, no limit to the # of rentals.

Home Decorating - grab a copy of the Trading Spaces books that came out a few months ago. Even though you can't lift things up now, you can still draw pictures and come up with CHEAP ways to make your home look better! (this was my girlfriends idea btw)

Learn to play the piano (or rather, a $20 keyboard).

Any which way... take care of yourself, good luck on a speedy yet safe recovery. Don't forget to stretch a lot and... depending on your doctors recommendations, 0 impact cardio can be great. Nothing like getting in shape while you're sick. When you get better you'll feel like a whole new person.

In about 2 weeks start rubbing the scar with vitamin E oil. This will help prevent too much scar from forming. Don't do it before 2 weeks though, because that would interfere with proper healing of the wound. There is some debate about whether its the rubbing and stimulation vs. the Vitamin E, but I think it still helps. Remember, wait 2 weeks before you start.

I guess it wasn't the self absorbing kind then huh? How big was it? Then again it had to be pretty sizable if they couldn't do it laprascopically!
