That is what CPA's are for. Mine is always a mess because of some of the multistate corporate/personal stuff I do.

There is nothing firm, nothing balanced, nothing durable in all the universe. Nothing remains in its original state, each day, each hour, each moment, there is change. Change is the essence of life. Embrace change as you do life. To fight change is to live in the past.

Chris....did your refund really pay for the 10R or just a portion? That's one big refund...yuo need to reevaluate your exemptions.

With my bonus structure, the highest tax rate is used and the Fed get to hold my money all year

Tell me about it....If my team ever performed well and I got a big bonus that would suck

I did mine so long ago I had to check to make sure I did them when I saw this thread

I have mine figured out so I get very little back. I'd rather keep my money and invest it the rest of the year myself instead of let the government hold it and pay me nothing in interest

John, no I didn't pay for the whole 10R with my refund. I made the down payment and paid off the 9R with my refund. And I guess refund is the wrong word. Last year I was a private contractor, so I saved a portion of my paycheck each month and paid my taxes.... I guess I overestimated how much Uncle Sam would take.

unless they owe you money....trust me you could not file taxes for years and they wouldn't care as long as you didn't owe them. Problem is you need a tax return every time you buy something like a car or house.

Filed in early Feb, refund has been in the bank for 3 weeks now... I guess it is an encouragement when you know you'll be getting money back instead of owing.

Mine were done and filed the first week of February.

Although I was filing "somebody's" state return online at 11:45 last night... and driving to the post office so "somebody" could drop HIS federal return in the mail.

I told him that if he wanted my help next year, his taxes would be done at the same time as mine.

I decided to try an online deal and it was so f*ing confusing.

But it found $40 more that I did for my refund, so I will not look the gift horse in the mouth. I will tell the gift horse he's confusing and utterly non-user friendly, but I will not look him in the mouth.
