Homeowners Insurance..claim question

I think theres a few guys on here that are in the insurance game. I have a question about getting home work done - from storm damage - checks etc.

Anyone know specifics of how it works? PM me please.

I've heard that you should only claim catastrophic loses because you'll get jacked on your rates in the future. It also shows up when you go to sell and creates a "higher risk" property making it more expensive for a prospective buyer to insure.

what sticky said is partially true. your rates will be somewhat effected but not alot. normally the buyer is not going to be privy to any work you have had done on your property unless their real estate agent has some kind of a rider that requires you to disclose any damage that the property has had in your posession but even then you don't have to fill it out..you can refuse...--i sent you a pm
