surgery on the thumb

Well, had to have surgery on the thumb I broke at BHF. It had to be pinned. Once the pins are healed I need an MRI on my left shoulder, the doc suspects a torn rotator cuff and another surgery. And to top it off I woke up Monday morning with the room spinning and puking all over. Apparently I had a slight concussion as well. Ijust hope I haven't screwed up riding all summer.

My wife thinks we're a bunch of Top Gun wannabes with our call signs, so for future reference, I'm Roger

Damn! Sorry to hear that! Heal up quick! Good thing is that the cuncussion should only last about a week. (actually it's post consussive syndrome - the actual concussion only lasts a few minutes... I've had my share)
Get well soon!

Meds! Stock up on the meds! And bring them to bike night!

Seriously, that really sucks. I'm sorry bro. Follow the Docs orders to the T. It will speed up that recovery time. Get a second opinion on that shoulder surgery. There may be a few ways to repair what ever damage there is. Some may be less evasive or require less recovery time (I have no idea what I am talking about, just a thought)

Damn, Roger. I didn't know you were that bad. You were up and walking around after the crash. It just goes to show how long the effects of a concussion can take to show up.

Heal up, man and get back to the track.

Hey, I rode my bike home after I tore up my shoulder and dislocated my thumb too.
It just shows how dumb we can be.

I rode home with broken ribs last year about this time. I thought I just had the wind knocked out of me. Once I got home I couldn't move for 3 days. Denial is a strong feeling.

Heall up quick Roger!!! Definitely would ask for a second opinion on that shoulder. Insist on an MRI and not just plain x-rays. But then again since you now have pins in your thumb an MRI might not be possible...depends on what kinda hardware they used to do the thumb pinning. A PET scan might be possible...well anyhoo, definitely a second opinion!!!
