Moving to Iowa!

Well, it's offical, I handed in my resignation this morning. FOr better or worse, I'll be moving to Keokuk, IA on Sat. Initially I'm bring only the "bare" essentials... clothes, computer, TV, motorcycle.... trhe moving everything else to storage in 2 or 3 weeks before I close on the sale of my condo.

I'll be sure to visit a few times a year and make it out on the WI, IA, MN ride that Anna hosts a couple times a year.

BHF is about that same distance and MD Racing is actually closer than before.

I'll be at Strats on Wed. Hope most of you can make it out.

I'm going to miss you guys

Hey Mike, You know why all the tree's in MN lean south? Because Iowa sucks. LOL.
Good luck on the move/job/etc

Life has no instruction manual. Parts and labor can be impossible to find. Many go down the road with parts that are in need of service. A breakdown is eventual.

Pick up a cigar in Havana on your way. Good luck with the new gig. Looks like it's a little bit South, maybe the weather will be milder year round? Hope all works out well..

Right...like the Chicago area has hills

Actually it's beautiful there. Rolling hills all along the Mississippi river and on he border between MO and IA. The river is very blue and pretty north of St. Louis there.

Good luck Mike

See you on the rides, and this Wednesday....

The CLSBers are starting to scatter all over the midwest, which means more rides to to more locations

------------------------------------
OK, we had:
one move to MN
one move to MI
one move to IA

IN, WI and KY are still up for grabs

Enjoy the corn capitol of the world... I actually grew up in Dubuque.

As far as riding goes, IA is pretty flat in most of the state. There is decent scenery and lots of hills in and along the Mississippi river valley though. Hwy 52 is decent. Although WI is a bit of a haul to get to for regular rides, they have great back roads.

Entertainment options can be very thin! If you don't have a boat, find a friend that does! In the summer, that river can be the only thing goin on...

One thing you'll find out quickly is that the people are generally pretty nice.

Good luck on the new job!

Naw........kick stands up in Barrington at 7:30 am and 8 am in Crystal Lake, but you live south of the border so you have to leave at 6 am Last weekend we kicked off at 9:30, when it gets warmer, earlier.
