I have arrived...in Iowa!

Man Dial-up sucks.... but at least I have something. I'm investigating DSL. My temporary housing is fine. It's a quaint little huinting lodge located a few miles outside town. Back in the 70's Bing Crosby (sp?) used to hunt out here with the CEO of the company I'll be working for. My company owns this place. I guess there 700+ acres of woods and fields, plus a pond stocked with small mouth bass. There's a range for trap shooting here too.

Overall it's not so bad. I went for a little 30miles ride aliong the river... very pretty. If I ever get DSL, I take some pictures and post them. THere's no F**** way I'm posting pictures wiht dial-up.

Sounds cool Mike. How long you got the shack for?
Are you stocking up on flannel?

Life has no instruction manual. Parts and labor can be impossible to find. Many go down the road with parts that are in need of service. A breakdown is eventual.

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.

Good point, I'll try and post some pics tommorrow. I really need ot learn ot shoot. My boss is pretty big on shooting clays.

I checked out the houses today. I forget what type it is skeet or trap... but there are 3 houses, a high one to the left (5 feet off the ground), a ground level one to the right and one sunken 2 feet in front. The one in front was loaded and ready to go!

Hey Tony...going to be out this way some time? I could use some lessons.... free clays. Hell... I saw 4 deer on the property driving in an hour ago.

Ohhh... did I mention there's a FULLY stocked bar with Miller Lite on tap... couple grills out back... Sat. TV and a 50" projection TV.

I'm here for at least a month and can stay up ot 60 days.

I say after you get settled in your new place, we make a group ride down there. It didn't look too far on the map you posted.
