The Zone on 63rd and Cicero...

Hey Everybody...I'm kinda new to CLSB. Signed up some years ago but just now becoming an active participant. Oh and I work with Crazy...so pray for me!

Anyway, Has anyone had any experience with the people at "The Zone" on 63rd near cicero? I live on the south side of the city and that seems to be the closest bike shop to me.

Also, I'm looking at purchasing the Honda 2004 CBR600 F4i and their ticket price is $8100. Does that sound reasonable also? Thanks guys and gals!

That place was supposed to lower my 954RR last year. They were supposed to have the lowering link in stock (that’s the only reason I went there), so the guy told me on the phone to bring the bike in anytime that week. I brought it in, the guy that I spoke with on the phone (service manager) wasn’t there that day, no one knew anything about me bringing my bike there, the part was not only NOT in stock but the supplier (Schnitz) was also on back order. They wasted my time. What a joke and very unorganized, the people at the service desk were so rude, I’ve never had such a shitty experience anywhere. I don’t see how they stay in business. That is my opinion – you asked

Marty, the guy who owns the Speed Limit on the far southside owns the zone as well.

The zone is nice if you need chain lube but don't buy a bike there.

Try CCC and shop around you'll definitly find a better price and a MUCH better dealership.

Style is the excuse used by those who have neither the nerve or the intelligence to live their own lives.

The Zone can be somewhat unorginized before but now it seems they have everything running smooth. They brought in some new people that know what they are doing. There mechanics are very good also. If you need parts from there talk to John George and if you need something in service talk to Matt Weber. Very nice guys and fellow road racers even the mechanincs. If you need more info or help about the Zone or speed limit let me know.

yeah...I've never had a problem with service at the Zone. Weber was one of the old school stunt guys from Naperville and he has taken care of me quite well there. The Zone is basically the only place I take my bike to get serviced and I've never had any issues there.

as far as buying is concerned though, I think it would be great if you went to the site sponser...CCC. they have their own forum on this site that you can get a quote for a new bike on.

Never had any major work done there, but I used to drive out of way to go there because the service was so helpful. I really like The Zone's service department.

Purchased my ZX6R there in 2000, so they know me and treat me decently there. Only problem is they do get very busy so you may have to wait if you need to get your bike in for service.
