Business and dieting

A really interesting story on Business News this morning, Krispy Kreme has announced their FIRST ever profit warning.......seems that the Atkins Diet following has negatively impacted KK's profits.

Sometimes goodbye is your second chance.

They also have a lot of overhead right now with all the capitol expenditures, they are building new stores like crazy, and thats cutting into profits, give it a few years for the atkins fad to wear off and those new stores to start turning a profit.

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.

I love it. I told everyone I know to short this stock at $100 when it was trading there. The stock split so that means $50 as far as compared to the price now. It's trading in the pre-market at $25. I'll take that for profit. Cha-Ching.

Agreed Allison. I don't know why everyone likes them so much. Fuckin' Gonuts is WAY better...And their coffee is the shiznit...

I'm enjoying this Adkins fad...Does anyone else know these self-righteous Carb Nazis who pick on everything you eat if it contains carbs, yet they refuse to exercise and don't know a thing about being healthy...They'll be the FIRST ONES at Krispy Cream once they get sick of all that meat...EVERYONE I know who did Adkins fell off the wagon and gained it all back. Everyone.

Nothing wrong with Atkins. I've lost 58 pounds on it so far. But, I havent followed it religiously like the die hard people. There is no way I could go without eating pizza or chinese food. But 58 pounds in 4 months aint to shabby.

Life is too short to ride anything but an R1

In memory of FastBlueR1...RIP
