::sigh::

So I haven't posted in a while and now that I finally get the chance to it is not exactly a happy post. ::sigh:: So yeah, I ended up laying the bike down. It isn't terrible, but the bike is rashed up and I cracked my left side engine cover so almost all the oil leaked out. Plus I got a little rash on my legs from my torn up jeans and really banged up my hip. I thought it was broken, but the doctors said that it was just badly bruised. (Thank God) Funny part was I was on the phone with my girlfriend before it happened and told her that I had a funny feeling about riding, but just chocked it up to being nervous about the test I was going to take. And then voila! Down I go only minutes after talking to her. Ouch is all I can say. So all that along with the two tickets I got made for a fun Tuesday.

Moral of the story, don't say you're going to crash or ride when you are preoccupied with something else.

I'm glad to hear you are okay, Mark. How did it happen?

I was pulling out of the parking garage where I keep my bike a school and turned left. There is a stop sign a few hundred feet from the garage and there was a blue cavalier in front of my and she just stopped suddenly a good car length and a half from the stop sign. So I nailed my brakes, but wouldn't have enough time to stop so my front wheel started to skid and I let up on it a bit (which I thought was enough to get it rolling again) to go around her, but when I did that the bike got out from under me and down we went. The bike went around the car on the right and me to the left. Nice thing was that by the time I stood up there were 3-4 guys already there asking if I was ok. Stupid chick in the car got out, looked at her car and asked if I hit her. I said no and she said ok and took off. Some people just don't care. I just wish I could find out the few guys that ran over to me right away and thank them for their help.

The two tickets are for one, driving without classification. Stupid me! And the other was for driving too fast for conditions. When i asked the cop about it he said that he had to give me one of two, either: Too fast for conditions, or Failure to avoid an accident. Upon my protest that I was not speeding but had cold tires and the ground was still cool, he said that he had to give me one of them and since I didn't hit anyone I get the too fast for conditions. Darn 75 bucks gone.

And ebay is my friend.

That second ticket seems to me. How does he know you were going to fast for the conditions? I don't see why he HAD to give it to you.

Anyway, I'm glad to hear you're okay. At least it was a lowside and you didn't get run over by the bitch in the car.

just goes to show how heartless some people can be...even though you didn't hit her car, she could of offered you some help...even to use her cell phone, or something...didn't she ask if you were hurt?

Go to court for both tickets. The failure to avoid the accident ticket will be easy to beat, the classification ticket is another story. You don't have an M-classification on your DL?

Sometimes goodbye is your second chance.

When i got in my accident, the cop asked ME what the M on my license was for. He's like " is that for motorcycles" ?

Nope, never stopped to ask if I was ok. Just took off after she saw her car was fine.

And no, I don't have an M classification on my license. I've been riding on a permit because I never had a chance to get my license. After spending 3 hours trying to get my renwal sticker for my plate and with finals here, I didn't really have a chance. Stupid, I know I know.

so pay this one up, or go to court on after u fixed that problem explain to the judge how busy u were and ask for supervision on it, then for the other ticket challange it since the cop really didnt see it happend he can't really cite you for it,
