Does anyone here GOLF??

I don't know if this has been covered before but I was just wondering if anyone here golfs on a regular basis.

I try to hit cog hill atleast once a week(Sunday - twilight) and a few other smaller courses during the week. If anyone is up for a round let me know.

I do, but I didn't get out much last year and I haven't been out yet this year. When I did get out last year, Cog was one of the courses I played. I work in Lemont so it takes me about 10 min to get there from work.

Pray before you ride!

I do. I don't get out much anymore, but if I get a chance I'll hit you up. Cog is pretty close to me anyhow.

Funny, I had a friend who could understand the similarities when I used to race and play golf. Both are single person activities that require a high amount of concentration.

I'm almost aways up for a round although Dubs is an easy hour+ for me with light traffic (great track). Any of the NW boys want to get together for an afternoon skip out of work round I'm game. This time of the year, I try to skip out every Friday by 2:00 to beat the late Friday crush. If anyone wants I belong to Stonehendge up in Barrington (don't be impressed) and an under 4 hour afternoon round is the norm. Call or PM me anytime if you are interested. Some place in the middle works for me too, but right now I've got to catch a 7:30pm flight to Ireland. I'll be back on the 19th. And you bet I'm bringing the sticks!

With a cart it's about $36 or $38 and after 6pm its $18 or something like that. It's actually not that bad. The couple of people I usually play with like course #3 so we play that alot.

I'm setting up something for this week so If anyone wants in let me know.. Prob tee off time around 4pm or so. Thurs or Friday maybe... not sure which day yet.

I have a set of golf clubs and about 8 weeks worth of lessons, which was the only time they were used outside the occasional time I go to the driving range!

Does that count?

BTW are there any driving ranges around the Crest Hill/Joliet area? I know there's a public golf course close to the house but I'm unsure whether or not they also have a driving range.

Anyone have any info for me?

I love to golf...one of my favorite pass times. Next to riding the bikes...tough call on what I like to do most. I try to get out two times per week. I play Klein Creek (www.kleincreek.com) in Winfield and Oak Meadows (http://www.dupageforest.com/PRESERVES/oakmeadows.html) in Addison quite often. I also play occasionally on Wednesday's in a league at Klien Creek. Makes it tough to get to Strats on Wednesdays.

Shiny side up, rubber side down.

Hay Paulette,

Enwood on Jefferson St. in Joliet has a driving range. I think it's like $2.50 or $5 for a bucket of balls.
