Free Kittens To A Good Home!

Ok, more details and pictures will be coming, but we have a litter of kittens living under the deck at Champ's house. We found out this morning when one decided to venture out across the top of the deck.

In any event, there are at least two or three kittens, maybe more but that is all I have personally seen so far. We gave them some soft cat food, and are going to try and gain some trust so we can get them out from under the deck.

I'll try and take some pictures later today, but if anyone might have it in their heart to RESCUE some wild kittens please post or PM me!

Ciao,
Lupi

ok so kitties are ebing camera shy atm. I'd like to get them all taken care of, including Mom. The less I have to take to a no kill shelter the better. I'll get pics up as soon as I can get them taken.

Sorry Champ, I took off two endboards to a.) get better access to see them and b.) get better access to getting them when the time comes.

Lupi - how big are they? Make sure Mom Cat has plenty to eat and something soft and clean to snuggle in... the kits most likely are still feeding off of her.

Also be careful not to be too intrusive or "Mom" will move them to what she perceives to be a safer place.

Kimmie,
We've pretty much just put out some soft food by the entrance under the deck where they had to have gotten in at. I've only seen two kittens, Beth thought she saw Momma this morning when we first put the food out, other than that we are trynig to leae them alone.

They have all ready gone through a can and a half of soft food, and I just put one more out. The one baby I saw was going to town on it, so we figured they were definately hungry.

One kitten, the first one we saw was palm size, still able to probably fit in a hand(well ok I have big hands.) The second one we saw I thought was mom because it was much bigger(or fluffier) till I saw it's face, and it was definately a kitten.

I hope just leaving the food out isn't enough to spook Mom into moving them. We've decided to just lay low now and give them some food a few times, and see where it goes.

Ciao,
Lupi

Well, they came out to eat, so I was able to get pics of two. This confirms that there are at least THREE kittens, and hopefully mom somewhere.

I didn't want to put the food on anything, "human" for fear that they wouldn't come and eat it. So that's why the soft food is just on the rocks. They are taking to it quite well so far!

I recently took in another stray that I came across. That makes three. I'm like Kim, I wish that I had a place for more! They look like little cuties so far.

Well, I think they are gone. The last three times I've left food out there it was there for quite a long time, before disappearing. So I don't know if a.) I'm putting out too much (3x a day) or if b.) they've moved somewhere else and some other critter is finding the food.

I haven't personally seen them, so at this point I'm guessing Momma cat moved them. I'll post if anything else turns up. I'm hopping that the crappy weather has them hiding under the deck towards the house more than anything.
