Talking Squirrel caused havoc at Auto-X event......

San Diego. Rueters

A squirrel caused havoc today at a San Diego Auto cross event causing one car to wreck.

Kent Sanford, 30 of Fallbrook, was driving his 2001 Chevy Corvette convertible when a angry squirrel ran in front of him. Sanford could not stop and hit the squirrel at approx 40 mph. Squirrel was just dazed for a moment, according to witnesses, and when he regained his composuer, he hopped to the back of the car and proceeded to kick the rear tire. The rear axle broke after the squirrel kicked the tire. THe squirrel fled the scene leaving a very confused Sanford. Police are looking for the squirrel and are planning on charging him with criminal mischief and nutty behaviour.

Police have a picture from a video of the squirrel that a crew member took while taping the car. He was last seen near a phone booth. Here is the picture police released.

And here is the corvette.

I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.
