Friendly Warning-----

Here is an email i recieved. Definitly plausible so i thought i would share with you!

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Be aware of new car-jacking scheme
Imagine:
You walk across the parking lot, unlock your car and get inside.
Then you lock all your doors, start the engine and shift into REVERSE.
Habit!
You look into the rear-view window to back out of your parking space and you notice a piece of paper, some sort of
advertisement stuck to your rear window. So, you shift into PARK, unlock your doors and jump out of your vehicle to remove that paper (or whatever it is) that is obstructing your view...when you reach the back of your car, that is when the
car-jackers jump out of no where ... jump into your car and take off --your engine was running, your purse is in the car, one lady reported her child was strapped into the car seat in the back seat. They will practically mow you down as they speed

off in your car.
BE AWARE OF THIS NEW SCHEME
Just drive away and remove the paper that is stuck to your window later and be thankful that you read this email and that
you forwarded it to your friends. Male & Female!!!!

Thanks for the warning!

I would've removed the paper before getting in the car.

thanks for the warning labdog. I would be too lazy to get out and remove it. Why waste the energy when you can open it up on the highway and let the wind do the work.

My name is JB, people call me JB

Im calling BS...sorry Kelly.

Who would not notice a piece of paper on their vehicle BEFORE getting in?

And why not just club/threaten the person before they get in the car? Do they like to steal a car with a 30 second warmed engine?

I don't know, Kelly. This sounds like the urban legend about the dude who would hide under cars in a mall parking lot. When an unsuspecting shopper would go to their car he would slice their achelies tendons, rob/rape whatever and steal the car.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

I've read this before.

I think the reasoning behind making you get out of your car is the probability that you will leave the car running thus making the getaway more easy.

Maybe its fake but who cares? Atleast you read this, maybe think twice next time and well who knows maybe a wanna be gangster read it as well in an email and said "Thats a great way to jack a ride!"

Whatever makes you think twice and aware i guess.

Personally John if i approach from the front of the vehicle IE my truck i typically do not go to the back unless loading or unloading.
