For a limited time only, Macx is in Chicago

Hi there. I am going to be in Chicago these fine months of 20 June --> 20 Aug. I heard you folks had a great board, so I decided to register. I'm in Uptown for work.. . . left my wife, our dogs and her FZ1 back in Pittsburgh. Rode my 900RR out here & am missing my best riding buddy.

We spend most of our online time over on FZ1OA, but used to be regulars on InsaneSpeed (Macx and Ladyhawk AKA MotoMinx). I noticed at least one familiar name in Kieker in one of the posts, assuming it is the same long distance crazy guy I remember form the old days. I should add that it wasn't anything against Dave & we still love AZScott & Smitty, just that Motominx bought the FZ1 and I started spending more time on the gun related boards.

Anyway, hoping somebody's ride schedule or shindig and my time off line up at some point.

Thanks for the welcome. Thanks for hooking Minx up with the info on this (web) place.

11:15p almost time to go to work . . . . speaking of which, those folks that hang out downtown near the McDonalds and the 24/7 gas station (matching jacket sportbike crowd) are they okay?

If you're referring to the BP station, steer clear. Read this thread:

Yes. that's mine and Shane's (6nickyfan9) personal testimony. Stay clear of that place. But there are lots of other cool places to hang just check under group rides and social gatherings.

BTW....

Welcome to the madness!!!

Wow, that was a long thread!

Thanks for the heads up on the crew I saw downtown.

I was down in boystown last night and a crew of posers came in and sure nuff, did the smoky burnout-leave a black circle in the lot kinda thing . . . . funny, when the crack-head was swinging the 4' pipe and threatening anyone who drove through the lot. . . no cops. . .. when the poses came and bought some coffee. . . officer "what is this? a hustlers convention!" was real keen to see everybody off the property --> this was at the coffee joint/baskin robins.
