May have to give up DirecTV..

This sucks! I've been a DirectV fan for years. But I've always had bad reception because of the wall of trees to the south. Now, it's so bad I don't get ANYTHING, not even local channels. I'm paying $50 a month for NO reception.

Can I use my Tivo (integrated with the DirectV box) with cable? How much will cable (with Speed and DVR) cost?

I may try next weekend to find a spot on my property that will work, but I may as well be next to a skyscraper.

There is nothing firm, nothing balanced, nothing durable in all the universe. Nothing remains in its original state, each day, each hour, each moment, there is change. Change is the essence of life. Embrace change as you do life. To fight change is to live in the past.

Sometimes goodbye is your second chance.

Use the tree to your advantage. mount the dish on it.

HDTony.... Damn glad to meet you!

Government's view of the economy could be summed up in a few short phrases: If it moves, tax it. If it keeps moving, regulate it. And if it stops moving, subsidize it.

If it was on my property we would be having a major bonfire at Blackhawk

There may be some spot that I'm missing with a clear southern view. But I remember spending three days out there when I first moved in looking for a spot.

And I probably can't mount it on a pole, it would need to be twenty feet tall...and on my roof!
