Sony Sonic & McDonalds....what a rip off

So, you eat a big mac and you get a free music download. Ok, so i tried this out tonight. Somehow managed to download three songs on one cupon code, and one song on the second.

So, I notice that i have a limited MB storage space, and think to myself, why am i limited 100mb? Come to think of it, why does a 5mb song take three seconds to download. I don't think my connection is THAT good.

So I look around, and search for the titles of the songs, and guess what, they aren't on MY PC! So, apparently, I have them stored somehwere on Sony's system and it plays them from there.

What a jip, that is sooooo not downloading

Ciao,
Lupi

Nice scam! There's probably fine print on the Big Mac wrapper that explains these details.

anyone wanna enlighten me why mcdonalds needs all these promo things in order to create business?

Arbys is still around and i find that amazing. I hardly see any advertising by them.

Same goes with Wendys. But wendys has their 1am drive window open.

I just thought the claim of actually downloading music, then that not really happening was a nice peice of false advertising. Though, ther is nothing on the Mac box, I'm sure there is some little leageleze blurb on the Sony site about it.

Ciao,
Lupi

Sony Connect uses their ATRAC3 file format. That is way more obsure than Apple's AAC.
