Rain is coming 7/11/04

Okay, I dropped the ball last Wednesday, so I'm gonna try to help everyone out today.

Its gonna rain. I'm tracking a storm that's passing over the Mississippi river right now. If it moves at the usual speed then we should start seeing rain in about 4 hours.... so around 4:30pm the western burbs should start getting rained on. That's the soonest it'll hit. You'll probably have more time but I'm just letting you know.

Also, if any pop-up storms appear I'll post up and let you all know.

Enjoy the day.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

Ah, this humidity isn't bad. Try living in lower Alabama.

Nope, no cold front should pass over us anytime soon. The temps for the next 5 days should be in the mid-upper 80's. Tomorrow is gonna be a real warm one. I wish I had perforated leathers.

Update:

The storm is moving pretty slowly. The edge of it that is actually hitting the ground is just passing the river now. I'd give it until 6:30 now before the western burbs get wet.

I'll keep updating as long as I'm in the office.

Update:

Well I'll be... it looks like we might not see any rain after all. Joliet may see some slight rain here soon, but the main body of the storm split in two. The big piece is tracking south toward Ottawa and the smaller part is headed toward MKE. I hope this continues.

Crap, just got home and it was pouring. It seems a small cell developed over Aurora and Naperville and is moving east. Watchout for it.
