road rage website, i bet your on the list

while i did have a thread about flaming about losers causing roadrage towards sportbikes. And having the thought of setting up a website.

I was watching tv, and saw a fox news commercial. It talked about a website which i was gonna create. It will be on at 9pm today, if you want to watch it after the paris hilton show.

well, heres the website.

http://roadragers.com/index.shtml

click reports

then click "illinois"

and see if you, your wife, significant other, or your family is on the list.

Worthless site. Even is someone is on the list - who cares? Cops can only bust someone if they are called in the act. Even doing that unless you want to file a report they can file one against you as well. Their word against yours.... kind of blows but thats how the law works.

Avoid contact with morons = no road rage. If you're getting tailgated, get the hell away from them. Easy as that. Usually road rage starts with one person giving the bird or jammin on the brakes.

thats the site from the news

a cop started it, im not sure if you gotta register or not to view the listings.

you cant prevent road rage. Thats like saying, i can avoid getting hit by a car while riding a motorcycle. Well, i guess you can stay home 100% of the time.

Theres people on here who had road rage situations just because people have a hatred for motorcycles. So how do you prevent that?

I dont find needing to speed to 70mph on a single road which the speed limit is 40 because someone is tailgaiting me. And what if i do speed 70mph and their still on my ass? There are people who enjoy following one foot of your bumper because they lack any common sense and intelligence.

I do find the website in good use. Parents can find out if their kids are driving like idiots. It also helps police officers to look up offenders and can see if they have a history. remeber, its your word against him. But the officer is going to make a judgment call on the person who has a history.

The website doesn't need to "prosecute" people by law. Its a great analogy of the scarlet letter, book. Public shame to idiots on the road and have the need to endanger other peoples lives. Terrorists on the home front.

That site is plain stupid. I'm sorry to be so blunt, but after reading the cencorship thread that's all that came to my mind.

Maybe if we could report people for going too slowly and disrupting the flow of a nice turn, or even the left lane... "i swear officer, there are only a few good corners in the area, and he was blocking my progress: cuff him and stuff him!"

Causally determined by various factors, only some of which I know about.

I searched the data with the key word Motorcycle, only got a dozen results, about 4 were cagers reporting the rider, weaving in and out of traffic, the rest were cagers trying to run a rider off the road, or some other road rage incident.

You're allowed to speed up to 25mph over the limit if you are in the need to use "defensive driving" manuevers., IIRC.

But speeding to shake someone off your tail, and not moving over to let the jerk pass you, does not count.

Seriously. Why can't everyone just leave it on the road. I used to get pissed that someone would be doing 45 on the expressway, but then I just stopped caring. I'll go around them without even the slightest bit of anger. Maybe I'm too mellow for my own good.
