I was just telling someone else how much bad luck I've had with vehicles and it really depressed me.
In 1997 I bought a '98 F-150. By the time it was a year old it had already spent a over a month in the shop. Leaky windows twice. A/C leak, lug nut recall, broken control arm at 10k miles!!!!!!!! to name a few problem. My 2001 Ford escape has spent it's share of time in the shop too. Right now it's at the dealership getting its second alternator. The problem isn't iscolated with Ford's either. I had a Camero that I had to replace every part in the book on at the 45k mile mark and a Cutlass that I went through 2 alternaters, a water pump, power steering pump, ball joints, tie rods, and two motors among other things. My 88 FZ 600 was bought laid down right after the motor was rebuilt and whoever did the work didn't torque the the connecting rod bolts correctly and guess what. Threw a rod baby. Two weeks after a fresh paint job on the bike my dad drops a door from a 70 442 on the gas tank. Yeah.......that left a mark
. My GSXR had all sorts of electrical problem all the time and when I finally got it working right the compression slid off big time and it didn't run right anyway.
. Then I buy the R1 and you all know about the battery problem. I got projects lined up in my garage. I just replaced the alternator in the wifes car. I need to replace her brakes and rotors and have a new cross pipe put in the exhaust. I have the Escape in the shop, and the bike needs new spark plugs.
sheeeesh!!!!!!!!! OK I'm done now.
