Talking Cheap ass Viper owner

Well, this is what happens when you own a car you can't afford:

That duct tape bodywork is so ghetto

Who the hell uses one of these as a daily driver. 1) they aren't that reliable. 2) not exactly the best car for bad weather and heavy commuter traffic. 3) can't haul much luggage or groceries.

Maybe he's waiting for the parts to come in from the shop?? I dunno. Maybe it's an insurance thing?? It wasn't his fault and the guilty parties insurance is giving him the run around...?? You don't know that he can't affor to fix it.

lol.. look at the wheels too.. DIRTY.. i would guess they scraped just enough to afford it and thats itt... prolly out showing off and slid out and hit something....

story time!!!

i was working at a Dodge Dealer and this lady brought her 2000 Viper GTS in for an oil change.. she drove it daily.. wanted to know if we could adjust the clutch and make it softer so it was easier to push.. me and another mechainc we said "yes we can" "you just trade it in for a Neon.. " then we had to explain to her that this is a high performance sports car.. NOT a neon... i still don't think she understands... the car came back to the shop about 1 month later.. the interior was full of water and the motor was locked up.. we had heavy rain and she drove under a flooded bridge.

Sad Plus the Viper has adjustable pedals ... Should've told her ... "Read the ****ing manual"

That car is way too dirty. Looks like the owner doesn't care for it.

Damage looks like he fishtailed into a lamp post or something.

Wow! That is the biggest speed hole I've ever seen. That thing MUST be fast!

"includes 10 used-car dealers or auto repair shops, 11 liquor stores and bars--two of which advertise lingerie fashion shows and a third billed as a "gentlemen's club"--three cut-rate motels and one trailer park. The squat, brick municipal building is next to a currency exchange and a few steps from an adult video store. The bars open at 10 a.m. and close at 6:30 a.m."

Maybe the parts arent in yet? Has anyone here ever ordered Viper body parts before? As for not being reliable, bullshit. Other than ones that were beat and not cared for, the Gen II and newer ones will last as long as any other hi-perf car if you maintain it.

I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.

If I was waiting for my Viper parts, I wouldn't duct tape the shit out of it, it will be tucked in my garage... a GTS is a collector's item, I mean, it was a $77,000 car

I'm willing to bet the person has a ton of money, and could care less about the car or what other people think. Or the accident happened the same day the photo was taken, and he could either have the car towed, or duct tape it up.

ditto But, he should still have the decency to repair such a fine racing machine the right way...like with a bungee cord or two.

BTW if it was my GTS (and no its not a collector car by any means unless it says ACR under the Viper badge on the side), I'd still drive it as long as driving it wouldnt make it worse (ie duct tape the hell out of it). My cousin drove his countach around after he bought it with the whole pass side wrinkled up from the previous owner putting it into a ditch.

I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.

Can you say Ferris Bueller? The teenage sun took it for a joy ride last weekend, got it all drity and spun out into a light post or another car. The 'rents aren't back from vacaton for antoehr 2 weeks, so he has the parts on order and is still driving it ot work every day.

That looks like a 98 or 99 GTS... If it's a 98 ... only 837 were made ... so it surely becomes a sought-after car for collectors

RT/10 is another story, though.

Its a 2000 or 01. 99 and earlier had 5 bolt rims.

Also Shelby only made 1500 CSX's in 88, but that doesnt make them a collector car.

Naw, I'll take YOU for a ride. Ever been sideways at 160+mph? I have. I've also wrecked more cars from 1987-1989 than most people do in a lifetime. Cartwheeled a Porsche 911, slid through a gravel trap upside down in my Van Diemen during a formula ford race.... BRing your car up here. I'm driving and make sure the traction control is OFF.

I'm not crazy, my mother had me tested.
