Giving Props to Chicago Cycle Center

Just wanted to let everyone know the good experience I had at CCC. If you ever buy anything there work with Dan in Parts, he really tries to work with you to make sure you get what you paid for.

I had bought a Corbin seat 3 weeks ago for the Flat 4 tour and sure enough it came in with a defect. I got home and opened the package and there was a small exacto knife slash in the back. My first thought was great I should have looked at this before I left and CCC is going to give me Sh_t when I try and return this. I called them to inform them that I received a defective seat and they told me to come in so they could inspect the seat.

The next day I walked in there with my defective seat and they said they would send it back to Corbin to have the seat recovered. This did not help me. I bought the seat so I could have it for the Flat 4 and now I was going to be stuck on my hard ass seat while Corbin took 4 to 6 weeks to correct there mistake. Dan told me it was too late to call Corbin but advised me to call today and tell them my situation. He said there would be a better chance of them letting me keep the seat for the ride and returning it after it was over. I called Corbin they said keep the seat for the ride and have CCC contact them so they can note my account for a return and issue a return number so I will not be hassled in a few weeks.

Thanks to CCC for helping me out with my situation and I would like to extend a thank you to Dan for working with me to make this return hassle free.

I've had some very similar circumstances with Corbin and a pair of Beetle Bags whose paint does not match my bike.

John in parts and CCC have been going above and beyond the call of duty in trying to help me out on my issue as well. (Same result: keep the bags for a few rides and Corbin will re paint at end of season).

I gotta say, CCC has been pricing things very competitively for me too!

I always have good luck with the parts people, a very nice guy helped me with searching around the whole damn store when I wanted a Dyno leather jacket in 54. Found one found it also. Only complaint is that the bought your bike from them discount isn't as much as I would have hoped but oh well.

As for the finance department I have less then nice things to say, three months since I sent them a fax and verified with Ed stating I wanted to cancel my warranties and still nothing has happened. I dread calling him all the time.

Dan use to be the "man" in the parts department at Woodfield MS, and he always treated me well.

DanO rocks, plain and simple.

Bought a Sprocket from him back at WMS and it came in miss stamped. Since I was desperately needing to replace a very worn out sprocket before doing a track day I thought I was SoL.

Dan handled the situation like a champ, got a replacement sprocket in extremely short order and I was good to go for the track!

Dan Rocks!!
