tickets/insurance/traffic school

ok well today i got my first ticket. 54 in a 35. So i gotta now pay $105 and go to traffic school. I was wondering how it all goes with insurance. ok so i no i go to traffic school to wipe it off-never even tell my insurance. my question is though-how many times can go to traffic school in a given period of time? My buddy said only 1 traffic school every 6 months. if thats true-if i were to get a second ticket and my insurance would know-how much does the insurance actually rise. im 20 yrs old on my Ps insurance.

I am by no means an expert but I believe when you go to court, the judge stipulates the terms. Such as:

Pay $105
Go to traffic school
Stay clean for 6 months.

Something like that.

If you were to violate any of these terms, you would get a bigger fine and most assuredly, your insurance company would find out.

Again, Iím no lawyer so take this with a grain of salt.

Where did you get ticketed?
I thought you have to have several tickets before you are ordered to attend traffic school.

I was ticketed a few weeks ago out by Starved Rock and the fees were:
under 20 $75 fine
20 to 30 over $95 fine

The officer was nice enough to let me keep my license and I later paid the $95 fine and that was that.

The only thing that pissed me off was that was my first ticket in 7 years.

Traffic school is just the option to keep the ticket off his record...I think that's what he meant. Your insurance will not find out anything if you go to traffic school. So plead guilty and request traffic school, and it will not count as a conviction on your record. Just don't get another ticket for 6 months. I believe if you get 2 convictions under 21 years old, you will lose your license. 1 drag racing offense under 21 will also cause you to lose your license.

Something you may want to look into if you do take traffic school is taking it online. I was able to just switch my traffic school assignment to the internet class and it's way better than going to the real class. The internet class is lame too but at least you can just watch tv and click on the screen whenever you're supposed to .
