i passed a bad accident on dundee and rand just a little while ago. a bike was smashed up laying on the side of the road and the whole intersection was blocked off with cops and ambulances. it didn't look good.

god, i hate seeing accidents. hope the rider's ok.

I saw this thing while riding back home today, Dundee and Rand Rd (I work a couple miles from there). 10 cop cars blocking the intersection, flares on the ground, a couple firetrucks and 2 ambulances.

Seemed bad, looked like a red and white bike, a sportbike definitely.

Dammit, not another one. I hope the rider was wearing gear and is relatively unharmed.

Never a bad time to climb... unless the weather is really horrible, and then you climb inside!

definitely a sportbike, but i was too far away to tell the make/model. all i saw was the underside of the bike by the curb and what appeared to be the seat in the middle of the intersection.

I hate hearing about motorcycle accidents, but seeing them is even worse. I passed a motorcycle accident once where the guy was pinned under a car not moving. Seriously contemplated selling my bike and getting out of the sport afterwards. I hope everything turns out ok.

You got that right. As a matter of fact, RT12 and RT68 Dundee and Rand ALWAYS makes the list of one of the top 10 highest accident intersections in the Chicagoland area. I always remember that and go on extra alert when coming up to it/going through it. Nothing's changed in the design yet.
