Yesterday on the way home, I decided to do the first part of our breakfast run, with the Jaguar. Well, I have been doing that route alot, with the bike, but wanting to try it with the Jag. Ron had warned me on more than one occasion that we are doing that route too often. So heeding his valved advice, I started to thing, if I was popo where would I set up a speed trap and yesterday as I zipped along the route, I slowed down to the approach that very spot.......and guess what? Mr. Popo was there with his handy dandy radar gun Also there with him were two of the locals pointing out something out, possible our direction of travel Well I cruised by, waved (I'm such a friendly SOB) and then out of sight zipped thru at blazing speeds I'll have to figure a new run for start of the breakfast ride...damnit!

Sometimes goodbye is your second chance.

There's too much money in them Hills for our sorties not to offend the delicate sensibilites of some folks. We just can't be too predictable.

We cannot defend freedom abroad by deserting it at home.

We must not confuse dissent with disloyalty. When the loyal opposition dies, I think the soul of America dies with it.

Your right Rick...I never had much luck in Barrington in my cage...let alone the bike...There are so many decent roads in the corn out by me without the hassle of popo...We just need to put together a decent 2-3 hour blast route for your morning runs......or map out 3-4 different routes and trade up each blast so we are not predictable...

My guess would be lots of Senior Citizens live in Barrington area, they don't like people on bikes ripping on "their roads".

I've never gotten to do the BH twisties, and I was waiting for Rick's next post.

And I have had bad luck with them cops too. In college, I dated a guy who lived in one of the gated communities out there. Well, me driving a rusty, 15-year-old Cavalier really drew the attention of those South Barrington cops! I got my first speeding tickets out there. And it didn't help that my flakey boyfriend was never near the phone when I'd try to dial in to get into the gate. I loved their opening lines at the gate: "Are you lost?" "Are you trying to get in?" "Do you need something?"

"Yeah, I need to unload this kilo in my trunk! Then I can get a real drug dealer's car!"

LOL, Rachel - I had the same experience when I was a teenager... my first car was a '72 Mustang with more bondo than sheetmetal, and these ridiculously fat mags in the rear. Guy I was dating lived in Lincolnwood Towers... and my car CLEARLY did not "belong"! Ended up getting to know most of the LPD that way.
