IE Customization

Ok, at work I picked up some flipping toolbar. Now I never accepted any upgrades, so I went somewhere that self installed one of these things. It's not that bad, but Search-n-Destroy doesn't find it.

I'd be fine with it, but it scan text and byperlinks it to things it wants to get me to click on to go to. That is annoying. I've checked in plugins and what not and can't figure out how to get rid of it.

Any ideas?

Check in your control panel. Add/delete programs.

Also check your start menu for the software you downloaded and an uninstall option.

If you can't find it just disable it in msconfig startup if you google all the startup items (some will be obvious ie. cometbar etc.) it will tell you the program just uncheck the box.

is it the begin2search toolbar? I just got that crap too. The funny thing is I don't even use IE that much since it just blows chunks so I'm wondering where I picked it up too. I think WMP zapped me or something when I was watching Ken's girly fight vid or something. Thanks Ken

anyway I ended up downloading
hijackthis and ran the scan. then just delete all the references that have "begin2search" in it
