people are dumb..

so i'm going to lunch to get me some yummy El Famous Burrito and i'm riding down Dundee road right in front of the Wheeling Police station, traffic is all backed up and a see up ahead a cop car blocking the left lane and some cones, i think its an accident.. no big deal.. anywoo as i get closer i see a 6' tall sign that reads "SEAT BELT ENFORCEMENT ZONE" and i'm like ahh.. they are checking people for seat belts.. and i can see they have about 4 people pulled over and they are writing them tickets.. as i get closer, i see the moron in front of me doesn't have his on.. and i thought to myself "i bet he will put it on soon as he sees the sign" and sure as shit.. we get within 10 feet of this bright orange sign, it looks from my point of view like he looks at the sign and then just continues on.. and then he gets up to the cops.. and they direct him to pull over.. HOW CAN HE BE SO FRICKEN DUMB???? i looked at the guy as i drove by him laughing my ass off and he wasn't somebody who coun't read the sign.. he was in dress shirt and looked like someone who would work at my company.. anyways, i got up to the cop and he is like "were is your seatbelt?" and had this stupid grin on his face.. i was really half tempted to tell him it was up his ass but i didn't know if he would be a dick about it and nail me for something so i just nodded and took off..

i can't belive that guy in front of me.. wow was he dumb.. i bet he wondered why they pulled him over..

the best part was on the way back to work, i drove the other way and i was looking to see how many people had there seat belts on.. i would say 1 in 8 didn't.. and they I know could see the sign from where they were sitting

i'll get off my soapbox now.

Ya that line was a classic. The laughing heared throughout the theater was pricless when that dork showed up for the gang bang. If I caught my woman doing that I would freak out. Oh yeah I already caught my X wife was doing that.

Pretty funny.

I never really understood not wearing a seatbelt anyway. It's a no brainer. It makes even less sense than not wearing a helmet on a bicycle.

The real irony, is that an airbag (a safety device) can kill you even in a low speed accident without a seatbelt on... although I believe the newer ones are programmed not to fire if the seatbelt is not fastened.

They were doing that shit here on the day the nutball guy went through a local strip mall and stabbed a few people.. you probably remeber the stabbed baby dying part.

What a great way to allocate your police force. :/ I thought that after the incident here, where police were so late to respond, that those seatbelt check stations might get canceled. I haven't seen another one in my area since then.

I think police could make better use of their time instead of checking seatbelts. Let natural selection take its course. There are a lot better things to be enforcing other than seatbelts IMO.
