i listen to and enjoy trance music, but I'm not sure I could sit through an entire live show without being "medicated". I hear they are pretty good, and have heard comparisons to BT so they might be a good live show. Anyone have the new album so I can check it out?

Trance is all I listen to pretty much but I like to see that stuff at the house of blues since they have awesome acoustics there... anyway, I'll be out of town.

back in the early 80's we kinda referred to it as JAMMING.

but you younger folks calling it raving....oh well times do change
but atleast back then and even earlyier...lets just say there went as many infections and diseases.

back then i didnt have to worry about some 15-18 chick so the heck with a condom..NOW i need a full bio suit and plastic wrap to wrap my weist and SQUEEZE on like 3 condoms...just to get a 50/50 chance ill live for another couple year

You are using Techno as a generic term, it is not anymore. The Dance/DJ genre has been broken up into sub-categories. Sub-categories include(but not limited to): Big Beat, Drum and Bass, Ambient, Electronica, Trip Hop, House, and Electronica.

Famous artists in these genres:

Ambient: Aphex Twin(and you could make a case for Brian Eno or Moby as well)
Big Beat: Fat Boy Slim
Drum and Bass: Roni Size
Electronica: Daft Punk
Trip hop: Portishead, Massive Attack
Trance: Paul Oakenfold, John Digweed
House: Pretty much any of that dance club sounding crap you hear on 92.7.

Oakenfold was the first big name Trance DJ, give credit where credit is due. He may be more mainstream but he can spin damn good.
