need suggestions for a 1 day run..

Well gang riding season has hit its peak and I have to say
the weather has been kind to us.

So this weekend the stars have lined up and here is my situation..
Weather predicted to be fantastic, for now.... Wife is going to NYC.
(I love her... but this is going to be GREAT!... married guys know what I mean)

AND I need to get away and ride like the wind.
Can someone please suggest a good ride for a beginner and easy
enough that I wont get lost... I'm thinking 5-7 hours round trip.

PLEASE PLEASE offer up any suggestions and detailed directions.

Thanks,

Joe

A couple weeks ago, Anna suggested Galena area. I have to say nice roads. Stagecoach, was just re-paved, and shouldered, so very smooth. I know we shouldn't post roads, but that road is imfamous. Many more roads in the area as well. Just pick up a Jo-Davies Co. map and off you go. Watch out for gravel though.

I was very pleased with her suggestion. Thanks again Anna.
